If you really want to know about what a person values, just watch their life.  Most people will only submerge themselves in something that they find of value.  You may wonder how a person gets caught up in destructive behavior or why they surround themselves with people that bring death rather than life.  That is because somewhere within, the individual finds some value in that person, relationship or that activity.

How many times have you heard people say "I am going to do this. I am going to do that", over and over, yet there is rarely ever or never a manifestation of completion?  The individual may temporarily experience the desire "to do," but that which the individual values more will always take precedence.  Then, 1 year later, 3 years later, 5 years later, the individual is still in the same state or worse, struggling with the dream.  Some try to alleviate the struggle by making excuses to validate their fear or dormancy, but they have to live with the void that remains unfulfilled because they are made in the image of God.  God is a progressive Father.  He is never stagnant, and today you find that many people are restless because they live outside of His will and purpose and outside of who He created them to be in order to live an abundant life...spirit, soul and body.

Then, there are those individuals who soar.  They come to a place of understanding and knowing that they are not just on this earth to watch time move, but that they are on this earth for a God-given, God-ordained purpose.  These people understand that their existence goes far beyond themselves and they invest in areas, people and relationships that build and bring life and bountiful harvest (favorable benefits and blessings).

I have spoken with various individuals and it seems like this time and season brings a heightened consensus of anxiousness and excitement, in anticipation of great manifestations of blessing.  This, coupled with the frustration of the fight.  "He" is Satan the deceiver.  He is the accuser of the brethren.  He is the one who, aligns with the flesh, and uses weapons that target your dreams, vision, hope, faith, resources, confidence and support.  He infiltrates your life with the sole purpose to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) in order to divert, distract and cause you to miss out on the promises of God for your life.  He also causes you to miss out on the manifestation of dreams, so that you can live in lack, regret and/or complacency.  But, when you choose life, nothing can stop you from mounting up, rising and ascending to a place of victory.

In the meantime, do you find yourself in a holding pattern?  Does it feel like you have been faithful to God, but yet still waiting for direction or an answer that has not come?  Does the enemy make you feel like your faith is in vain?  Do you ask the question, "Where are you God?"  Does it seem like just when you think victory is eminent, another obstacle arises?  You are not alone.  Many Believers can relate.  But do not allow your faith to wane.  Stay focused!  I can tell you what was told to me some years back that changed my life..."He can't - - because of the power of the Holy Ghost"!

I remember going through a very rough period of time in my life.  This time was filled with uncertainty, hurts and disappointments.  I remember chasing after the heart of God to even sustain me daily.  I became so engrossed with being in the presence of the Lord that His glory seemed to cloak me as I prayed and as I lived from day to day.  What I desired, I did not even have to speak because it manifested.  When I laid hands on an individual to pray, very few could even stand because of the powerful manifestation of God.  When I prayed for others, they came back with praise reports.  When I prophesied to others...to this day... they recall the truth and share testimonies.  I valued God's presence more than anything.  I was seeking him for direction, but in my seeking what He gave me was priceless.  He showed me that I had the ability to reach heaven and touch His heart.  He showed me the power and authority that I have, through Jesus Christ, with powerful demonstrations and manifestations for myself and others.  He taught me that when I align with Him, the Holy Spirit and the heavenly Hosts have my back.  It was magnificent and still is today.  Yet, at that time, with all of the splendor and glory that I experienced through building a relationship with God (over religion)...prayer, fasting, reading and gaining revelation of the Word, worship, allowing God to prove Himself strong for me... it seemed like my world in the natural was crumbling before me.

One day, God gave me a dream.  When I woke up, I knew immediately what it represented.  I went to a service and saw a minister who walked over to me and we spoke.  I then told him about my dream and immediately, the Spirit of the Lord was ignited.  He interpreted my dream, which was a confirmation of the interpretation that I had.  Then, "God said, 'Know that what the enemy is trying to do, he cannot, because of the power of the Holy Ghost.'"  I was blown away to hear the love of my Father.  After I heard this, I just allowed the Words to marinade in my heart.  Then, over the next few months, God began to build me up in my spirit, which manifested in the natural.  Satan will try to use any and every distraction to keep you from fulfilling your purpose.  He tried to cause me to lose focus but oddly enough, the more he tried the greater my focus became because of the written Word and the prophetic Words that were given to me by various ministers during this period.  I spoke both over my life daily.  To this day, part of my prayer is exercising my spiritual authority and proclaiming to Satan "You can't because of the power of the Holy Ghost."

Soon, my perspective of God and my life became larger than myself.  Then, God reminded me..."Remember your seeds."  Through the various challenges, sometimes you may ask yourself whether faithfulness to the kingdom is worth it.  I am not just talking about a backslidden state, but faithfulness in the things that you have done to build the kingdom of God and the lives of others.  Satan will always say, "Look at what you've done all this time and look at where you are now."  But, when he tried it, I remembered my seeds.  Remember, that which you value is where you dedicate your time and attention.  Positive or negative...most people will invest only in something that they believe will yield a great return (harvest).  I knew that I had invested greatly in the things of God and therefore, knew and know today that my harvest is and will continue to be great.

You are generally not likely to give any time to something that you do not value.  I am not talking about lending support to others at an inconvenient time, because that is showing love.  I am not talking about finding mutual interests with your spouse, child, parent or friend, although the interest may not be number one on your list, because that is love.  I am talking about allocating specific and continual time to invest in something that you do not value.  Most people will not find themselves here.  Your attention and time is directed at things or people that you do value.  Therefore, those things will produce the seeds that you will either enjoy or despise later.  YOUR CHOICE!

This is important because this means that if you value kingdom principles like:

  • PUTTING GOD FIRST - But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.  Matthew 6:33 (Amplified)

                -    Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  Exodus 20:3 (King James)

  • LOVE - [The Excellence of Love] If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing. If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all... I Corinthians 13th Chapter (Amplified)

  •  UNITY/LOVE- If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  Romans 12:18 (Amplified)

  • INTEGRITY - Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.  Matt 5:8 (King James)

              - "If you love me, keep my commandments."  John 14:15 (King James)

           - "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."  Matt 6:21  (King James)

           -  "For where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be

                   also.  (Amplified)

  •  WORKING HARD- The lazy man does not catch and roast his prey, But the precious possession of a [wise] man is

diligence [because he recognizes opportunities and seizes them].  Proverbs 12:27 (Amplified)

              - The desire of the lazy kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.   Proverbs 21:25 (Amplified)

  •  EDUCATION - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.  Proverbs 3:13

              (King James)

          - He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

            Proverbs 15:32 (King James)

              - How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

                Proverbs 16:16 (King James)

              - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  Proverbs 4:7

                (King James)

... and other guides that build, heal, protect, grow then you will see a harvest that equates to abundant life.  (Jesus came for your abundant living).  John 10:10.  Additionally, your light will shine and will win others to Christ, as you become a living testimony of God, our Father.

Satan has no power over a Believer who understands who he or she is in the Lord.  He will use fear, but the Word can crush fear as you walk as the person that God created you to be.  As I spoke the Word over my situation every day, all throughout the day, then I really understand what God was saying.  He wanted me to know that no matter how things looked, if I abided in the will of God, acknowledged Him in all of my ways, trusted Him, then the seeds that I sowed will absolutely, unequivocally rise up into a great harvest!  Praise the Lord!  When you KNOW that your seeds are planted into good ground, according to the perfect will of God for your life, then you can rest in His promises.  You can rest in your waiting.  You can rest in the battle because you are declared the winner, through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ!!

You may go through periods of transition that does not feel good, may be inconvenient, may cause embarrassment or reluctance, but know that this is TEMPORARY.  Be honest and look at where you are sowing.  Is it in toxic relationships?  Is it in self to perform your will over God's?  Is it in embracing thoughts that distract or drive you away from God's will?  Is it in a job striving to be #1 over your family?  Is it in works over righteousness?  If you have planted in the principles of the Kingdom you WILL receive bountiful harvest!  Satan CANNOT keep you from what is rightfully yours because of the power of the Holy Spirit!

The blessing that awaits you will be delivered in God's time and for many, that time is NOW.  Do not abort, but stand firm and your harvest will rise.  God bless you.
